Randominity. And, a concert!

1. Yes, I'm alive. I know it's a while since I reached out to anyone, and the word on the street is that I'm pretty bad at it unless I need something. I'd love to hear from people, if they have an interest in hanging out with me. I'm going to start pinging people soon as well. In fact, I've already started. Let's see how that goes.

2. I like people who have the courage and/or joyfulness and/or lack of shame to sing to themselves as they walk down the street. Talking to themselves is something else entirely.

3. Is it just me, or are relationships falling apart everywhere I turn? Then again, some of them are just blossoming.

4. A big, self-indulgent post about self-centeredness is coming. It's going to be long and probably rather pedantic and, predictably by the description, all about me, but it's also all about you, and how I relate, or don't relate, to the people in my life. It's gonna take a little while to write, though, methinks.

5. I'm having dinner with hissilliness tonight. This pleases me.

Announcing: the final concert of New Century Voices!

When: Wednesday, June 23, 8 pm
Where:  The Church of the Holy Name
1689 Centre Street
West Roxbury
Admission: Free, but there is a $5 suggested donation

Come and hear a wide variety of new music by many different local composers, as well as some classics of the 20th century choral literature.  We will have organ music, a brass choir, and one of our composers will premiere some new solo vocal pieces.  The concert will be about an hour and a half.

Although the group will most likely continue next year, this is the last time we will all be performing together, as some of us will be headed in different directions next year, myself included.  So this will be our last concert with all of our current members. 

This concert is the culmination of an enormous amount of work over the past year, the chorus sounds fantastic, and I hope you can all join us to hear some wonderful music!

Hey there! Welcome back! Seems to me we've been on a "we should have coffee sometime" stretch for quite some time now. So, I reiterate: "We should have *insert caffeinated beverage of choice here* sometime!"

Of course I say that just as I'm about to become more busy than a bucket full of eels, but someday SOMEDAY our Absences of Business will coincide. I think that's one of the signs of the Apocalypse.

everyone is breaking up, but generally for the best, Sharynne says it's to do with Venus partially eclipsing the sun recently, (as best as it can). who knows? she broke up, my friends of 18 years are getting divorced, I broke up that was a while ago tho, technically. you and I have now spent more time talking about getting together again than I think we spent talking last time we hung out. email me c/o my website, but change the ISP to Yahoo, I check that box more often, unless you can find my phone number. let's have tea!

i think the word of the day (week? month? season?) is "flux"

in fact, there's more flux than a jewelers' convention.

so no, you're not just imagining things. things will settle down by fall. who wants to dump someone right before the cold weather ?-)
