Hi, everyone,

This Saturday is the last Saturday before I fly off to Banff for a week, where several friends of mine will be throwing themselves down mountains while I and a few of the sane people there will be hiking in the snowy woods and cross-country skiing.

I need clothes and hiking boots!

Would anyone like to, say, have brunch with me Saturday, then join me on a shopping excursion? I'm thinking of hitting Hilton's Tent City, and probably a few other places. Think cheap!

(amusingly, the reason i might not is that i might be hiking with someone. but she hasn't gotten back to me yet, so i have no idea.)

where were you thinking of brunching? and when?

and i'm jealous about Banff. *pout* my mother went there years ago, and told me how extraordinarily beautiful it was. i've decided that i need money again, so that i can go cool places. places with mountains and lakes and trees and stuff.....

Wow, really? I didn't think *boys* liked to shop. :)

But perhaps you have some tips on gear, if you are a hiking sort.

I brunch at Johnny D's with alarming frequency, though I've also been talked into Christopher's or the Rosebud.

And the usual lazyish, 11 am type time.

i'm a late riser myself, so that's fine. and i'm more likely to eat stuff at Johnny D's than at Rosebud. not sure what the fare at Christopher's is like, so i could be persuaded.
