The commitments I love most

In a couple of minutes I need to get up and go to callbacks for The Winter's Tale.

And I can't wait.

I seem to always forget how much I love love love doing theatre, especially as a director. It's a huge amount of work and I'm sure I won't be love love loving it during tech week, but for right now, it's the most exciting thing in the universe. I'm reminded why I wanted to do it for a living. I wish that weren't so hard.

Enjoy it, celebrate it, have fun with it. Tryouts for Tomes were one of the most exciting, exhilarating punchy, silly nights I had with my favorite PMRP people. As time goes on, you're right, sometimes that love may wane into mere process. Love never really dies or disappears completely but it can be worn down for a while.

Celebrate it when you have it.

That's so wonderful. I know the casting process can be stressful for some -- glad you're having fun so far, at least! I know you've been working on this for so long, it must be fun to see that characters starting to finally take shape in front of you.
