Dead strawberries?

I had strawberries in a pot last year. They didn't fruit. Autumn came, and they died. I didn't do anything special to winter them over, and the pot has been sitting on my front porch, partially sheltered from wind and snow, all winter.

Think there's any chance of them coming back? Or are they totally dead?
