More advice solicited

If you were going to get a videocamera - nothing horribly fancy or expensive, but something nice enough to maybe make slightly-higher-than-cheap-home-movie quality stuff, editable on a computer, and all that - which one would you pick?

I've been pretty happy with my Canon Elura 80. It's not anything close to a professional video cam, but it seems to produce good video quality. It has decent low-light performance, which might help you out with what i suspect you may want to use it for :-)

I have an Opturi Pi. You're welcome to borrow it to try it out -- it's some years old now, but it's a nice little camera. You can ghet 'em much littler now. :)
