What our photo albums say about our lives

This is the most bookish icon I could find of me.

There isn't a single picture of me reading a book, though I spend a great deal of my waking hours doing so.

If my photo album were a reflection of my life, I would be seen as someone who dresses up in a lot of costumes, goes to a lot of exotic places, and has a lot of parties.

My mother made me an album once. It definitely says that my mother has never met me.

According to the photo album, I spent my youth driving tractors, raising livestock and baking cookies. I did have long hair though, that part's true. And there were some flute pictures.

I love the fact that she put in the prom picture of my friend Elizabeth and her boyfriend in which I had placed a monster sticker over the boyfriend's face.

I think from mine you'd extrapolate that I divide my time equally between birthday parties for the under-ten crowd and hanging out at the river back behind riverspirit54's house. And that would be the totality of my social life. *grin*

You also would get almost no sense of what I actually look like, as I appear in approximately 1% of the total pictures (i.e., I'm the annoying photographer). Hey, somebody come photograph ME for a change!

apparantley i'm either a building or some sort of open space/landscape... this transformation happened as of 1987 and have total of 10 pictures in whitch i'm actually in...

Mine would say I'm a really, really bad photographer.

And that I have not changed too much in appearance in...oh...years. I've been meaning to do a silly "how old was natalie when this picture was taken?" LJ post just to see if people can peg my age in each shot.

And now that I think hard about it, the pictures I have all gathered in my boxes and such...I have apparently not aged past about 18. I seemed to have stopped taking oodles of pictures after highschool.

I need a digital camera, dammit.

that i find things i like and then concentrate on them from all angles. then, huge gaps in time separate phases of my life, which i suppose must imply that i didn't care enough about things to catalogue them in pictures during those gap periods.

more seriously, i look the same as i did at 6, except with tits and an ass now. i love dressing up. most of my friends are guys (seriously, i have a little photo album from ~99 - ~02 and almost all the shots are with a different guy in them).
