Okay, folks, I know I've done this before, but humor me.

Much of my journal has become friends-only, and I've been trying not to add anyone I don't either know in person, or someone I know can vouch for. I know where some of you found me, but what I'm curious about is:

omnia_mutantur is a friend of mine who also writes beautifully to whom I said, "Hey, go check out dietrich's journal, you might like her writing." I think you'd probably get along in person, but she does live in the western part of the state, so this would likely only happen if I got off my ass and made my place presentable for hosting parties.

Anyway. That would be my doing. I'm answering for her because I know she can't access LJ at work.

The last time I saw you in person was in my livingroom. Yourself and your date were dressed to the nines and looked fabulous, and I happened to be in a tailsuit. My only regret about that event was that, as host, I had little time to talk to anyone for more than 10 seconds, and my hope is that this is rectified in future outings.

Thank you, incidentally! I was oh dear, quite drunk that night after over a month of the elimination diet and No Drinking and an evening of Lots of Gin.

That does not, however, alter my statement. Sex is great for the complexion. ;)

Seriously. I probably said that not trying to be funny, though I recall saying something else about "using creams" in conversational tones, and that I meant to be funny. But I believe people who have lots of good sex are sexy. It's like love, or money: the more you have, the more you get. :)

I've never met you in person; I found your journal when I first started with LJ and since you are relatively local, I figured I'd friend you and see what you had to say. It's been interesting so I've stayed on. If I ever get off my butt and make it into the Diesel on of these nights, there is a chance I'll meet you.

I second the recommendation of taiste; despite living in nowhereland, she's pretty cool in her own way. Oddly enough, she thought *I* was cool enough to go out with for a while, too. :-)
