Friends, Romans, and so on:

Since I downloaded the newer Firefox onto my Mac, I've found it to be bulky, slow, crashy, and generally annoying. Sometimes it'll even do this great thing where clicking on certain buttons stops working. Yay!

I've been thinking that Safari may be the better choice for me to go back to, seeing as it's designed for use with the Mac. My question is twofold:

1. Y'all have any better suggestions? I'd been enjoying Firefox, but it's been giving me quite a few problems lately.

2. If I switch to something else, is there a way to easily transport all my bookmarks over to the other browser?

Thanks.

I've not used this since early betas, but I hear it's good: http://caminobrowser.org/

I'm on Safari most of the time.

Firefox hasn't been crashy for me, but it's certainly been slow. I'm planning on sticking it out until Firefox 3, and if that doesn't help, I'll switch.

As for bookmarks, I don't know how to import, but Firefox automatically makes an HTML file that you can just open. In 10.3.9, it's under ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/[something].default/bookmarks.html and opens fine in Safari.

For years I tried to give Firefox a chance, but I never liked it as much as Safari. I kept trying it when new versions were released, or to use nifty addons, but after each bout I'd return to Safari.

Saft makes Safari much better.

Firefox on the mac is a horror. Safari is great, except when it isn't. Camino is what I use and endorse.

If you want the Gecko renderer, go with Camino. Also keep in mind that, as of 10.4.11, Safari is at version 3 which might make a difference.

I can't say anything about how to move bookmarks.
