I've joined a small choral/orchestral group called Calliope, and we will be having our first concert, including Faure's Requiem, four motets by Durufle, and Barber's Easter Chorale and Sure on this Shining Night, on Saturday, September 15.
I've been a little reluctant to post about this, as I've had mixed feelings about the way the rehearsals are going, and whether I'll stick with the group. However, a week and a half away, I feel like we're in good shape, and should make some very pretty music indeed. Please to come and enjoy; details below.
