Hey, kids, I'm goin' to Burning Man!

While I'm gone, I want my computer to automatically check my mail, so that my business messages can receive an autoreply. Anybody know how to make this happen?

I found a tutorial on autoreplies, and I've got that bit straight. But to get the computer to log on and check mail, he says, "Select Schedules from the Tools menu." Um, where, exactly, pal?

Help?

Oh, and I'm on a Mac running OS X.
