Dear LJ,

Does anyone have a (preferably free) client they recommend for uploading a *lot* of pictures to LJ, and making them smaller first?

For really samll - there's the "El Jay" icon creator.

Flickr's downloadable "Flickr Uploadr" is pretty good for bulk uploading to Flickr, but not useful elsewhere.

Well. Maybe. See, I don't have a paid account so I don't know about the interface. But: 1) have Photoshop, so batch shrinkage not a problem and 2) there's very few HTTP based things that I haven't managed to hack (granted, LJ is full of folks like me, so they might have already closed all the hacks). We'll see what can be done.

Irfanview is a small, easy program that will batch-convert (resize, etc.) tons of image files: http://www.irfanview.com/ .

Once you have your pictures shrunken, use one of these clients to upload them quickly to LJ's scrapbook.

There was a iPhoto plug-in by [livejournal.com profile] fraserspeirs that was both unsupported and only seemed to work with PowerPC versions of iPhoto.

Searching...

Ah, I've found this (http://community.livejournal.com/ifotobilder/) which at least showed up in iPhoto for me. You could conceivably use it to upload tons of pictures to Scrapbook. It is still unsupported, though.

Hi!

I am so excited to peruse your LJ. I have no idea how upload photos, I'm a Luddite. However, I'm sure photos from you would be a good thing as I see from your user pics that you're a smokin' hottie!
